Innovative design depends equally on inspiration, creative skill, and technical knowledge. Inspiration, the seed of every project, is fueled by an awareness of available technologies and tested designs. Creativity, the ability to turn inspiration into something meaningful, is informed by constantly exploring new ideas. And technical skill, gained primarily by experience, is the key to executing the most challenging of projects. When coupled with client feedback these elements yield good design. This is what we strive for and it shows in every project we deliver.
Creative Ideas
These drawings are from the early design stages of the kSpace exhibit commissioned by the National Museum in Canberra, Australia, and executed by the ANU Vizlab. The yellow sweeper car below is one of several illustrations drawn by elementary school students who were asked to imagine their future homes and vehicles. The children's drawings were the inspiration for the cityscape concept seen above, which then became the framework for the virtual reality exhibit.
Engaging Interfaces
Here, some young children play our educational "Nutrients for Life" game. Using Augmented Reality technology and a high-resolution digital camera, our software tracks uniquely patterned marker tiles to position multiple players in three-dimensional space.
Cooperative rather than competitive, this four-player agricultural interactive teaches children that nutrients must be delivered at the right time, in the right amount, and at the right place. When it comes to interactives, we believe that three elements make for a memorable experience: group play, unique interfaces, and compelling digital content.
